Sleepyhead - Slaapkoppie
Dit keer een verjaardagscadeautje voor mijn broer die vandaag 23 jaar geworden is! Bart gefeliciteerd! Hij besteld regelmatig bij bol.com en o.a. bij de AH en de Primera kun je tegenwoordig leuke cadeaukaarten kopen, zo ook van Bol.com! Tim Holtz geeft deze cadeaukaarten vaker (in de USA zijn ze helemaal hot) en meestal maakt hij dan een Gingerbread man, waar hij met movers and shapers inkepingen in maakt zodat de kaart er tussen past. Ik heb dat idee gebruikt, ook al heb ik de stans niet. Ik heb een patroon van een gingerbread man gedownload, vergroot, uitgeprint, uitgeknipt als mal en overgenomen op chipboard. Vervolgens beplakt met MME lost and found papier, de randen gevijlt en gedistressed. De muts is gemaakt van glanzend papier met daaroverheen een sheet in dezelfde vorm, die ik bewerkt heb met alcohol inkt. Wiebeloogjes, een bierdopje en een bingosteentje met glossy accents, touw, lint en wat letters. Ik heb gekozen om een slaapkoppie te maken, omdat Bart en ik allebei graag uitslapen of gewoon lekker zo op de bank kruipen op een zondag met een filmpje aan!

I used the MME lost and found PP, and used alcohol ink on a sheet creating the cap. Wobbly eyes, a bottlecap, and a bingo piece, string, ribbon, and some letters. I decided to make a Sleepyhead because my brother and I we both love to sleep longer on a day off!
Ik vind het moeilijk, maar ik wil even terug komen op Martijn (Druif)! Dames bedankt voor jullie lieve reacties! Het doet ons beiden erg goed! Helaas heeft hij gisteren het nieuws gekregen dat hij uitzaaiingen heeft in zijn lymfeklieren. Dit nieuws is nooit makkelijk, maar in zijn geval om dit te horen op je 33e is natuurlijk extra moeilijk! En ik maak me uiteraard ontzettend veel zorgen! Ik had dit nieuws niet verwacht eerlijk gezegd, zeker omdat hij zo jong en zo snel erbij is! Vanavond krijgt hij telefoon van zijn arts om te horen of de lymfen verwijderd gaan worden, of dat er een ander protocol gestart zal gaan worden! Kort gezegd... hij heeft nog niet gewonnen. Maar ik weet dat hij blijft vechten, en positief zal blijven! En zonder die 2 dingen verlies je uiteindelijk altijd van deze akelige ziekte, dus Druif: keep the spirit up!
Last week I told you all about Martijn, and ladies I want to thank you all for your lovely messages! Unfortunately yesterday the results came in, and he has metastases in his lymph nodes. This kind of news is never easy, but in his case, being diagnosed with lymph gland cancer at the age of 33 is very difficult! Tonight he will hear what kind of treatment they are planning for him. He hasn’t beaten this disease yet, but has a positive attitude, and he’s a fighter ! And without those two things you will always lose this battle, so Druif (nickname): keep the spirit up!

CFY #39 Mannenkaart
Het is alweer tijd voor de laatste challenge van 2011! Wat gaat de tijd toch snel he? Deze challenge is bedacht door Cora! Ze heeft een schets voor ons gemaakt, en jullie weten het ondertussen vast al wel, maar je mag zelf verzinnen wat je er van maakt! Het hoeft dus niet perse een kaart te zijn, een layout of iets anders mag ook! Het designteam heeft weer prachtige voorbeelden gemaakt, dus dames ga even kijken het is echt de moeite waard!

Het is bijna winter en dat betekend dat er voor ons weer een aantal mannen jarig zijn de komende tijd! Ik hoor jullie denken! Mannenkaarten zijn lastiger, vind ik ook. Maar ik ben erg tevreden met deze kaart, helaas was het weer geen makkelijke kaart om te fotograferen (hij blijft lastig doen LOL!). De vlaggetjes zijn van metaal, maar overheersend wit (Niet te zien op foto helaas). Verder is het contrast in het echt veel groter, de klokken en de tekst springen er veel meer uit door het contrast van het matte papier en de glans op die embellishments.

It’s more difficult to create a birthday card for a man, but I’m very happy with my result for this challenge! It also was a difficult card to photograph, because of the shimmer and shine. The flags are more white, the contrast between the background and the embellishments is a lot bigger in reality.

Kerstpost van Berdien!
Vandaag lekker met de meiden (jongerencentrum) de laatste middag gehad van dit jaar! De stagieres hadden een wedstrijd So you think you can dance georganiseerd! Een geweldige afsluiter van 2011! En toen ik thuis kwam lag er een verrassing op me te wachten!!! Post van Berdien!
Wat zat er allemaal in de envelop? Om te beginnen die prachtige kerstkaart die ze gemaakt heeft voor challenge #37! Pattern Paper van MME de lost and found collectie (waar ik heel graag mee werk!) en.... rampapam... Pattern Paper van Tim Holtz yeah! Verder zaten er hele leuke stansjes in van MD, leuke doilies en een berg Tim Holtz embellishments!!!! Game spinners, gears, een frame, key, een hele set Swivel Clamps (!!!), 3 klosjes garen en eyelets!
Wauw meid wat heb je er allemaal bij gedaan joh!!! Dat was toch helemaal niet nodig maar wel ontzettend lief van je! Dank je wel!

Tim Holtz holiday rosette tree!
Vanavond heeft Jacco een leuke kerstavond van het werk, met 700 collega’s naar het theater, eten en natuurlijk het kerstpakket! Dus de chickies konden lekker gaan scrappen! Ik twijfelde nog tussen mijn standaard voor de 12 tags, de recepten rolodex en mijn verjaardagdagskalender... tot ik bij Tim dit vreselijk schattige kerstboompje zag! Ik had nog geen kerstversiering voor op mijn scrapkamer, en dit is erg leuk op mijn bureau zonder dat het veel plaats in beslag neemt! Ook de holiday rosette tree maken? De uitleg staat vandaag bij Tim Holtz op de blog!
Ik heb in plaats van een potlood 4 halve sateprikkers gebruikt. Omdat ik geen houten klosje heb, heb ik de bodem van een kokertje (mini flesje whiskey) afgesneden en gevuld met zelfhardende klei en afgewerkt met mos.

Tonight Jacco has a Christmas party from work, so the chickies had time to scrap! I was trying to decide what I was going to create tonight, when a saw these super cute Christmas trees at Tim Holtz his blog! I don’t have any Christmas decorations on my scraproom yet, and this tree will look very cute on my desk, without it taking a lot of space! Want to make the holiday rosette tree yourself? You can find the how to on Tim Holtz his blog!
Instead of using a pencil I cut 2 bamboo skewers in half and glued them together. Because I didn’t have a wooden spool, I used a small whiskey packaging (round tube) and cut of the bottom. I put some self-hardening clay inside, put the tree in it and finished it with some moss.

Challenge # 38 kaart voor Druif!
De challenge van deze week is verzonnen door Marjan! En ze heeft deze week iets heel erg leuks verzonnen!!! Een bingokaart! Wat is de bedoeling? Je kiest een rijtje uit en die 3 onderdelen verwerk je in je kaart, layout of net wat je leuk vind om te maken! De hele kaart gebruiken mag ook! Veel scrapplezier allemaal!
This weeks challenge is made by Marjan! And she came up with a lovely idea! A bingocard! How does it work: choose 1 line and those 3 items have to be included in to your card, layout or whatever you want to make! But you also can choose to use the entire bingocard! Have a lot of scrap fun!
Mijn uitwerking /my take
Een kaart voor mijn beste vriend Martijn. Het begon maanden geleden met een “onschuldige” moedervlek wat een melanoom bleek te zijn. Ze hebben deze weg gehaald... en bij verder onderzoek bleek dat het weefsel rondom die moedervlek ook niet goed was. Hij is gisteren geopereerd, ze hebben de poortwachtersklier (naar de lymfen toe) verwijderd, en nu is het hopen dat zijn lymfensysteem schoon is! Hij krijgt volgende week de uitslag te horen, dus het blijft nog even spannend! Omdat hij zo ontzettend positief blijft ondanks alles wat hij nu door maakt, heb ik deze merci kaart gemaakt om hem te stimuleren zo door te gaan! Druiffie, you can beat this!!! Komt goed! Dames ik zou het leuk vinden als je een berichtje achter laat, want hij leest mee!
A card for my best friend Martijn. It began months a go with an “innocent mold” it turned out to be a melanoma. They removed it, and then the tissue next to it turned out to be cancer as well…. He had surgery yesterday, the removed the gatekeeper gland (I hope that’s correct English….) and now we have to wait for the results. Because he is staying so positive I made him this Merci card (Merci = chocolate), to stimulate him to continue being positive! Druiffie (nickname) You can beat this!!! Everything is going to be all right! Ladies I really would like if you leave a comment, because he is following/reading this blog!
En de binnenkant / The Inside
De kaart is dicht gevouwen 14cm bij 20cm, geopend dus bijna 55cm lang en dus vrij groot. Er moesten natuurlijk zoveel mogelijk reepjes Merci in passen want Druif is gek op chocola! Wat misschien wel grappig is om te weten... ik heb me laten inspireren door een andere schets van Marjan, namelijk CFY challenge #21!
The card measures closed up 14cm by 20cm, opened up is it almost 55cm long, so it’s a big card. The reason for this size is it had to fit as many Merci bars (chocolate bars) as possible, because Druif (nickname) loves chocolate! What’s funny to know is this card was inspired with a sketch Marjan made earlier for CFY, sketch #21!

All together now! 12 Tags!
Dames dank jullie wel voor al jullie lieve reacties en berichtjes! Zeker de laatste dagen kon ik de steun hard gebruiken, zeker vanaf tag 10, en aan tag 11 (die ik zelf afschuwelijk vind!!!) is de vermoeiheid denk ik toch wel te zien. Vanmiddag weer naar mijn meiden (jongerencentrum), mijn maatje Martijn wordt vandaag geopereerd... Morgen meer daarover, dan mag mijn CFY inzending hier online, en hopenlijk heb ik dan ook goed nieuws ontvangen ondertussen van Martijn!
Natuurlijk hangen mijn tags hier aan de buffetkast, en ik ga ze bewaren voor inspiratie, want er zijn zoveel technieken voorbij gekomen die natuurlijk weer in de vergetelheid gaan raken! Ik heb al een leuke oplossing bedacht om ze in op te bergen, dus dat zal binnenkort wel te zien zijn hier! Maar eerst de dingen doen die belangrijker zijn, zoals het opruimen van mijn scrapkamer! De laatste 3 dagen niet meer opgeruimd..... alsof er een atoombom af is gegaan daar! LOL! En ik moet nog steeds gordijnen naaien en een kast opknappen daar! Een hoop te doen dus!

Ladies thank you for all the lovely comments! I certainly could use the support the last couple of days! Today I going to work with my girls (youthcenter) again, and my buddy Martijn is going in to surgery this afternoon… Tomorrow more about that, because then it’s time for a new challenge at CFY and hopefully I know a little bit more about Martijn’s condition!
Of course the tags are hanging at my cabinet, and I’m going to keep them for inspiration, I learnt so much techniques the last 12 days and I don’t want to forget them! But first there is more important stuff to do, like cleaning up my scraproom! I haven’t cleaned or organized it the last 3 days… and it looks like a bomb went of there! LOL! And I still need to make some curtains and I need to renovate a cabinet there! Lots of work to do!

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 12!
Ik zat vorige week de nieuwsbrief te lezen van het Creatief Centrum Heesch. Voor iedereen die deze winkel niet kent...(kan me niet voorstellen!!!) Als je daar nog nooit bent geweest... ik zou een keer gaan kijken, want die hebben een assortiment zo groot!!! Maar goed. In die nieuwsbrief viel oog op een logo van de winkel, en aangezien ik nog geen blinkie had van Heesch, ben ik gelijk aan de slag gegaan! Maar daardoor ben ik het laatste stukje vergeten te lezen... Ik had dus niet gezien dat je een set lampjes cadeau kreeg! Mevrouw Kross, de eigenaresse was zo aardig om ons toch een setje cadeau te geven! Ik liep de hele week al met het idee dat ze wel eens van pas zouden kunnen komen!
De 12 tags waren zo leuk om te doen! Ik heb een hele leuke tijd gehad, niet alleen met maken maar ook met de BTS op Facebook en Twitter met Mario Rossi! Ik ben blij dat ik besloten heb om van mijn eigen stijl af te zien en gewoon maar te gaan maken zoals Tim het bedacht heeft. Ik heb hierdoor zoveel geleerd! Kan niet wachten tot volgend jaar!
The 12 tags were so much fun! I had a really great time, not just because I love making the tags, but also with Mario Rossi’s BTS on facebook and Twitter! I’m glad I decided to leave a side my own scrapbook style, and just trying to create was Tim had made up. That’s why I learned so much from it! Can’t wait till next year!
1. Ik heb de tag uitgestanst, tekst erop gestempeld, de tag beplakt met decoupage papier, de tag gestickled en de bloem gemaakt zoals Tim Holtz heeft omschreven op zijn blog.
Die cut the tag, stamped the text, and glued some decoupage paper on to the tag. Then put stickles on the tag and made the flower as described by Tim Holtz on his blog.
2. Metaalfolie op papier gelijmd, dit uit gestanst met On the edge Scrollwork, hetzelfde gedaan met de Decoritive strip Vintage Market.
I glued metalfoil on to paper, then die cut it with the On the edge Scrollwork die, did the same with the Decoritive strip Vintage Market.
3. Hert (action) en lampjes van Creatief Centrum Heesch. Het hert was glanzend, deze heb ik verouderd met witte acrylverf.
The deer was shiny, zo I distressed it with white acrylic paint. The Christmas lights were a gift from Creatief Centrum Heesch (Dutch Scrapbookstore)
4. Lampjes monteren in de tag. Ik heb met de Crop a Dile gaatjes gemaakt in de tag, de kleine gaatjes passen perfect! Vervolgens met een lijmpistool de lampjes vast gelijmd.

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 11!
Hebben jullie die waanzinnige techniek met de Meltingpot gezien?? Ik kende de techniek van schrimpy dinky in UTEE in de melting pot al van de DVD, maar.. om het nu te zien met uitgestanste Alterations!!! Zo gaaf! Vandaag iets bedacht wat zo’n beetje hetzelfde effect geeft, maar die Meltingpot staat op mijn verlanglijstje!

1. Tag, The Branch Tree en het Movers and Shapers Holly Leave gestanst uit chipboard en glossy fotopapier. De kerstman gestempeld met Stazon en de tekst geprint op fotopapier. Het lettertype is Script MT bold.
Die cut the tag, the Branch Tree and Movers and Shapers Holly Leave out of chipboard and glossy photopaper. Stamped the Santa with Stazon en printed out the words on to fotopaper. The lettertype is Script MT bold.
2. De hulstblaadjes en de taken geverfd met Pearlizing Medium van Aleene’s en acryl verf. Vervolgens geembost met 2 lagen clear UTEE en Versamark.
I painted the holly leaves and the branches with Aleene’s Pearlizing Medium and acrylic paint. Embossed it with two layers of UTEE and Versamark.
3. Ik vond de achtergrond van de tag weer saai uitgevallen, dus heb hem geembost met een embossingfolder van Craft’s Too. Vervolgens geschuurd, zodat de letters mooi wit worden. Ik heb de rhinestones gekleurd met alcohol inkt.
The background of my tag was a little bit boring, so I embossed it with an embossingfolder of Craft’s Too. Sanded the tag, so the letters turned white again. I colored the rhinestones with alcohol ink.

Ik had vandaag van alles op de planning staan, van alles wat ik “even” moest doen. Even naar het postkantoor, even naar de hobbywinkel voor Glossy Accents, even naar mijn vader iest afgeven en vervolgens even naar mijn moeder om Glossy Accents te lenen aangezien deze uitverkocht was. Al dat “even” werd natuurlijk een vol programma, dus toen ik thuis kwam was het eten en tag time! Eerlijk gezegd erg moe en totaal geen zin, maar nu ga ik toch echt niet meer afhaken! Hahaha!

3. Ik heb de grote banner uitgestanst, bestempeld, en verouderd met distress inkt Vintage Photo. Vervolgens de tag ook gedistressed met Vintage Photo.

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 9!
Het is alweer tijd voor tag 9, wat gaat de tijd toch snel! Op de 9e tag gebruikt Tim een nieuwe embossing techniek en de snijmal candlelight fright! Bij gebrek aan deze mal heb ik hem weer nagetekend en uitgeknipt uit chipboard!
It’s already time for tag 9, time flies! On the 9th tag Tim used a new embossing technique and the die cut candlelight fright! Because I don’t own this die, I made a drawing and cut it out of chipboard with a pair of scissors!
1. De kandelaar na tekenen, zodat er een mal ontstaat, overnemen op chipboard.

2. De kandelaar uitknippen.

3. De afbeelding stempelen met distress inkt (evergreen bough), vervolgens clear UTEE erover gestrooid, en dat bleef niet plakken! Waarschijnlijk werkt deze techniek alleen met gewone clear embossing poeder!!! Maar dat heb ik niet... dus ik heb er uiteindelijk 3 lagen UTEE opgezet door met Versamark de stempel steeds opnieuw er op te zetten en tussendoor te verhitten. Daarna heb ik de tag met distress ink Vintage Photo gedistressed, daarop plakte de UTEE ook niet... dus toen de hele tag voorzien van versamark, bestrooid met 1 laag UTEE en verhit.

So I stamped the image again with Versamark, added the UTEE, heated it with a heattool, and ending up putting 3 layers of UTEE on to it to get a similar effect. After that, I distressed the tag with Distress ink Vintage Photo, the UTEE wouldn’t stick on that either…. so I put Versamark on to the entire tag, scattered it with 1 layer of UTEE and heated it!

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 8!
Het is tijd voor tag 8! Tim heeft een beetje een mannelijke tag gemaakt vandaag, altijd leuk om inspiratie op te doen voor een mannen tag!
It's time for tag number 7! Tim has made a male tag today, it’s always nice to get some inspiration for male tags!
1. De uitgestanste weathered clock en de sprockets gears geverfd met een metallic acryl verf. Daarna geembost met gouden embossingpoeder.
2. Tekst stempelen. Op deze stempel staat de tekst achter elkaar. En ik wil de tekst onder elkaar stempelen. Dus ik leg een briefje over het woord wat ik niet wil stempelen. Dan de inkt op het woord wat ik wel wil stempelen. Het briefje voorkomt dat er per ongeluk toch inkt op het andere woord komt. Stempel de tekst. Maak de stempel schoon!!! En doe het precies andersom met het andere woord!
Stamping the words Christmas Wishes. On this stamp the words are standing next to each other. And I want to stamp them among each other. Put a note on top of the word you don’t want to stamp. Thanks to the note the other word has no ink on it. Stamp on paper. Clean your stamp!!! And now you do the same steps with the other word.
3. Stempel met versamark een afbeelding op de tag. Bestrooien met wit embossingpoeder, poeder smelten met heattool.

4. Distress de tag met de seasonal distress inkts. Ik heb zelf nog Peeled Paint (Groen) toegevoegd voor wat extra kleur.
5. Ik vond de achtergrond wat saai omdat ik niet alle stempels heb, dus ik heb de tag geembost met de texture fade Steampunk.

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 7!
Tim Holtz heeft weer een prachtige tag gemaakt! Vandaag heeft hij gekozen voor Kraft Glassine Paper met Perfect Pearls en Alcohol Inkt. Ik heb alle 3 de producten niet, althans alcohol inkt wel maar niet in de juiste kleur. Ik had al eens vaker geexpirimenteerd met bakpapier om te zien of ik niet hetzelfde effect kon krijgen... en vandaag is het me (bijna) gelukt! Ik heb weer foto’s gemaakt voor jullie!
Tim Holtz has made a beautiful tag again! Today he has chosen for Kraft Glassine Paper with Perfect Pearls en Alcohol Ink. I don’t have these 3 products, accept for alcohol ink but not in the right color. I have experimented earlier with baking paper to see if I could get the same effect… and today I (almost) did! Again I have taken pictures for you!
1. Expirimenteren met bakpapier, glimmermist, alcohol inkt, distress inkt en pastelkrijt.

2. Een afdrukje van de stempel (jattex, maar dat kan ik hier niet neerzetten natuurlijk) op kraft papier, Vintage Photo distress stain op de non stick craft sheet en de tag er door heen gehaald. De tag geglimmermist.

3. De holly branch blaadjes nagetekend, malletjes van geknipt, en overgenomen op bakpapier. De Branch Tree mal had ik wel, deze is geverft, geglimmermist en die verknipt zodat ik takjes had.
I have drawn the holly branch leaves with a pencil on to white paper and made a template of them. Then I copied the template on to baking paper. I did had the Branch Tree die, so I painted the tree, used glimmermist on it and cut it in to pieces so I had smaller branches.
4. De bakpapieren blaadjes bewerkt met: paint dabber, alcohol inkt, glimmermist,en pastelkrijt.
I altered the leaves of baking paper with: a paintdabber, alcohol ink, glimmermist and pastels.
5. Heb de blaadjes glans gegeven met een goud metallic acrylverf die doorzichtig opdroogd (kruidvat). De takjes bestickled en de tag gestempeld en geglimmermist.
I gave the leaves some shimmer with a gold metallic acrylic paint with dries up transparent (cheap bottle purchased at a Dutch store).
6. Toen wilde ik de tag opmaken, maar vond ik de achtergrond veel te donker geworden!!! Dus de tag omgedraaid en opnieuw begonnen! Heb de tag geembost met de texture fade sheet music. Gedistressed, met een paintdabber op gelicht, wat glimmermist (ja alweer!). Na de opmaak de stempel voorzien van een stickles randje.
Then I wanted to decorate the tag and I didn’t like the background, way to dark! So I turned the tag upside down and started over! I embossed the tag with the texture fade sheet music. Distressed it, highlighted it with a paintdabber, added some glimmermist (yes.. again!). I finished the tag with adding stickles to the border of the stamp.

Om eerlijk te zijn hadden wij van het Designteam ze nog lang niet klaar, dus daarom nog één keer een schets voor een kerstkaart. En mocht je nou al je kerstkaarten al af hebben dan dagen we je uit om met deze schets een "niet-kerstkaart" te maken! Moet lukken toch?

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 6!
Ik moest vandaag eerst naar de meiden (Jongerencentrum), en we hebben weer heerlijk gevilt! Wat een natte kliederzooi hahahaha! Maar de gevilte telefoonhoesjes zijn een succes, dus het was reuze gezellig! Ik kwam een klein beetje in de knoop met de tijd voor de tag, maar het is toch weer gelukt!

Today I had to go to the Girls (youth center), and we went on with our felt project! The water and soap causes a lot of mess whahahaha! The felted phone skins/cases (sorry don’t know if that’s correct)are a success, we had a really good time! So time was short, but I managed to get my tag ready on time!
1. Embossing folders uitzoeken voor de tag.

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 5!
Het is maandag en het feestje (weekend) is voorbij! Dus weer op voor de dagelijkse dingen en verplichtingen, maar ik heb toch tag 5 kunnen maken! Alle foto’s zijn dus vanavond helaas met flits gemaakt, jammer maar dat mag de pret niet drukken toch! Ik denk alleen niet dat ik het nog ga redden om Mario te volgen met BTS (een mens moet toch af en toe wat slapen), maar het leuke van internet is dat je het later altijd nog terug kunt lezen!
It’s monday and the party (the weekend) is over! So back to the normal daily things and obligations, but I’ve managed to make tag 5! All of the pictures were taken with flash light, that’s a pity but that can not spoil the fun! It’s not possible anymore to follow Mario with his BTS (I need to get some sleep at night), but the nice thing about internet is, that you always can read it later on!
Ik heb geen Reflections Stempels, maar ik wist dat er een andere truc was om met een gewone stempel hetzelfde effect te bereiken. Ik ben gaan zoeken op youtube tussen de filmpjes van Tim Holtz, en kon niets vinden. Totdat Jacco op het idee kwam “zou dat op de dvd van Tim staan!” Ja waarschijnlijk wel dus. Ik had dat filmpje graag met jullie gedeeld, maar er berusten natuurlijk copyrights op. Korte uitleg dan maar? Zie een grote rubberen stempel voor je. En stel je voor dat die stempel ergens een groot plat vlak heeft. Op dat vlak stempel je, en dan stempel je met DIE stempel op je tag. De inkt geeft af en je stempel staat in spiegelbeeld! Ik wilde dat dus graag aan jullie laten zien, maar had niet zo’n grote stempel. Jacco en ik hebben samen geexpirimenteerd met foam, leer, plastic, sheets, zelfs mijn snijmat, maar niets werkte!!! Helaas dus geen echte alternatieve techniek kunnen verzinnen!
I don’t have reflection stamps, but I knew there was another trick, to turn a regular stamp into a reversed stamp. I started searching on youtube between the Tim Holtz movies, but couldn’t find it! Until Jacco (my husband) came with the bright idea that I’ve seen it on the Tim Holtz Dvd. Yes, I probably did! I would have love to show you the technique, but I have to honor the copyrights. Short explanation of the technique? You need a big rubber stamp with a flat surface area. Stamp with another rubber stamp and archival ink on to the flat surface. Then use that stamp to stamp your images with. Now your stamp is backwards! But I didn’t such a big stamp so I started experimenting, with foam, leather, plastic, sheets even my cutting mat, but nothing did the trick! So I haven’t been able to come up with a alternative technique!
1. Breng alcohol inkt aan op je inkt blending tool of alcohol inkt applicator en tamponeer je tag ermee. Laat het even drogen.
Apply alcohol ink to the ink blending tool or alcohol ink applicator. Apply the alcohol ink on to the tag. Let it dry.
2. Ik heb gekozen voor stempels van ijssterren en sterren, deze komen van de Action! Je stempelt met de archival inkt op je tag.
I have chosen to use stamps of stars and snow crystals from a Dutch store. Stamp the images with archival ink.
3. Met een zachte oude lap poets je met een draaiende beweging de archival inkt weg.
Remove the archival ink yently with a rotating movement using a soft cloth.

Ik had dat filmpje graag met jullie gedeeld, maar er berusten natuurlijk copyrights op. Korte uitleg dan maar? Zie een grote rubberen stempel voor je. En stel je voor dat die stempel ergens een groot plat vlak heeft. Op dat vlak stempel je, en dan stempel je met DIE stempel op je tag. De inkt geeft af en je stempel staat in spiegelbeeld! Ik wilde dat dus graag aan jullie laten zien, maar had niet zo’n grote stempel. Jacco en ik hebben samen geexpirimenteerd met foam, leer, plastic, sheets, zelfs mijn snijmat, maar niets werkte!!! Helaas dus geen echte alternatieve techniek kunnen verzinnen!
I don’t have reflection stamps, but I knew there was another trick, to turn a regular stamp into a reversed stamp. I started searching on youtube between the Tim Holtz movies, but couldn’t find it! Until Jacco (my husband) came with the bright idea that I’ve seen it on the Tim Holtz Dvd. Yes, I probably did! I would have love to show you the technique, but I have to honor the copyrights. Short explanation of the technique? You need a big rubber stamp with a flat surface area. Stamp with another rubber stamp and archival ink on to the flat surface. Then use that stamp to stamp your images with. Now your stamp is backwards! But I didn’t such a big stamp so I started experimenting, with foam, leather, plastic, sheets even my cutting mat, but nothing did the trick! So I haven’t been able to come up with a alternative technique!
1. Breng alcohol inkt aan op je inkt blending tool of alcohol inkt applicator en tamponeer je tag ermee. Laat het even drogen.
Apply alcohol ink to the ink blending tool or alcohol ink applicator. Apply the alcohol ink on to the tag. Let it dry.
2. Ik heb gekozen voor stempels van ijssterren en sterren, deze komen van de Action! Je stempelt met de archival inkt op je tag.
I have chosen to use stamps of stars and snow crystals from a Dutch store. Stamp the images with archival ink.
3. Met een zachte oude lap poets je met een draaiende beweging de archival inkt weg.
Remove the archival ink yently with a rotating movement using a soft cloth.

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 4!
Ik wil eerst beginnen met jullie allemaal te bedanken voor jullie steun en lieve berichtjes! Het werkt erg motiverend! Het begint vermoeiend te worden, zeker omdat ik Mario via Twitter met BTS (behind the scene) probeer te volgen, en door het tijdsverschil begint dit pas om 01.00 uur ’s nachts! Je krijgt om de zoveel tijd een foto van Tim te zien en wat hij aan het creeeren is.... Zo leuk! De nachten zijn kort, de dagen dus lang.... Maar ik vind het zo leuk om te doen!!! Ik heb mezelf vorig jaar beloofd dat ik mee zou doen, en ik vind het geweldig!

Okay day 4 and that means tag 4! Let’s get ready/busy!
1. Ik heb de sneeuwpop uit chipboard gestanst en geverft met witte acrylverf. Ik had de movers and shapers reindeer and 25 niet, ik wilde andere cijfers 25 op de sneeuwpop plakken.
2. Gewone Crackle paint. Ik heb een hekel aan de droogtijd... Dus Tim Holtz Crackle Resist staat op mijn verlanglijstje!
Regular Crackle paint. I really dislike the drying time…. So Tim Holtz Crackle Resist is on my wish list.
3. Onverwachts kreeg ik de movers and shapers reindeer and 25 vandaag voor Sinterklaas!
4. Ik heb de sneeuwpop met blauwe acrylverf geverfd (ik heb nog steeds geen distress stain).
I painted the snowman with blue acrylic paint (I still don’t have no distress stain ;-) )
5. Distress inkt aangebracht op non stick craft sheet, en vervolgens de tag er door heen gehaald.
Distress ink put on the non stick craft sheet, and run the tag through it.
6. Extra waterdruppels aangebracht voor een distressed effect. De distress inkt gedroogd met the heattool.
Extra waterdrops add to the tag for a distressed effect. Dried the distress ink with a heattool.

I cut the snowman from chipboard, and painted it with white acrylic paint. I didn’t have the movers and shapers reindeer and 25, so the plan was to glue other numbers on it.

12 Tags of Christmas – Tag 3!
Tim heeft vandaag een tag gemaakt met zijn favoriete techniek: the custom stamp pad technique! Ik vind dit inderdaad ook een geweldige techniek, niet alleen omdat je de stamppad nog lange tijd kunt bewaren maar ook het effect op de stempel dat de kleuren niet in elkaar overlopen! Met een stempelkussen in de hand lukt je dit nooit om het heel mooi te doen. Maar ik had geen cut n' dry felt, ik heb maar 1 reinker namelijk Tea Die , dus ik heb weer wat anders verzonnen!
Tim has made a tag with his favorite technique: the custom stamp pad technique! I find this techniek amazing, not just because you can preserve this stamppad for a long time, but I love the fact that the colors of the ink don’t blend in to each other! With a normal stamppad you’re not able to create this effect in a nice way. I didn’t have cut n' dry felt, I only have 1 reinker color Tea Die, so I made something else!

2. Het geemboste kraftpapier heb ik gedistressed met Fired Brick, Evergreen Bough (seasonal distress) en Peeled paint.
The embossed kraft paper is distressed with Fired Brick, Evergreen Bough (seasonal distress) and Peeled paint
3. De blaadjes van de Decoritive Strip Festive Greenery heb ik geschuurd en met een Paintdabber Pearl wat aangestipt, vervolgens gedistressed met Vintage Photo.
The leaves of the Decoritive Strip Festive Greenery are sanded, dabt with the Pearl Paintdabber, after that I distressed the leaves with Vintage Photo.
4. Met alcohol inkt heb ik verschillende embellishments gekleurd. De kerstbal in de vorm van een ster was zilver is nu bruin, daarvoor heb ik de kleuren Ginger en Butterscotch gebruikt. De rhinestones zijn gekleurd met Raspberry.
With alcohol ink I have colored the embellishments. The Christmas ornament (star) was silver, now it’s sparkly brown. I used the colors Ginger and Butterscotch. The rhinestones are colored with Raspberry.
